Ponte Solutions Gets $7.5 Million New Funding

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- DFM company Ponte Solutions announced that it raised $7.5 million in second round funding.  The company also announced the appointment of industry veteran Michael Smayling to its technical advisory board and Michael Beuhler-Garcia as vice president of marketing and business development.

Ponte's semiconductor design platform promises to translate "physical, chemical and layer-based manufacturing process variability into deviations from original design intent."

Mayfield Fund led the round, which included U.S. Venture Partners and private investors.  Total funding to date is now $17 million.
